Our turn to host assembly!

On Thursday Tatsumi and Amy hosted the Year 4 assembly. They were fantastic MC's. We all shared our Water Cycle raps in our groups. Well done to all the certificate winners this week.

Today we began our learning about The Water Cycle. There are some really interesting words to learn. We researched using the laptops and took notes about the Water cycle and tried to understand what each word (evaporation, condensation, precipitation, accumulation) meant and what their job in the cycle was. We discovered that the sun is pertinent to the whole cycle working. We have started an experiment to see if we can make our own water cycles in a bag. We need to record our results tomorrow, Friday and also on Monday. We all had very different hypothesis on what we thought would happen in the bag.

Measurement Fun in Room 20

For the past two weeks we have had fun learning about measurement and the units we use to measure certain products, liquids, weight and height. Our lessons have been hands-on and practical which has helped with cementing our learning. We even got to do some baking and of course eating the lolly cake and pikelets at the end!

Lucky Lucas and his brother Dominic got to go to What Now this morning. Phew Mrs Allen wasn't there as the boys found the target your teacher pizza board!! Hope you and Dominic has a great morning - I loved how the morning was all Boys only things!

Cross-Country 2014

Wow - what fantastic runners we have in Room 20! I am so proud of all of you today. You have all trained hard and ran your best today. You should be feeling super proud of yourself also. I tried as hard as I could to get photos at the finish line. Way to go Room 20!!!

Super Mum!

On Sunday Annabelle's Mum Jo was on What Now. She was nominated by Annabelle's sister Libby to compete in the Mother's Day competition. Jo was so super amazing and took out the competition to become the Mother's Day Super Star! Well done Jo - you have 2 very very proud daughters!!! We loved watching the cool activities you got to do on What Now on demand!
